Gotta Rant After Working with a Young Guy Last Night at a Baseball Facility...

Can I just rant for a moment? And it comes after working with a young guy in a baseball facility last night.

He asked me what is the one thing I would tell him to do.

And I said "learn how to compete."

Of course, he immediately explained that he was a true competitor.

My response:

"Don't tell me about it. Show me about it. Please stop trying to convince me you're competitive, and actually go Compete. Metrics, evaluation aside, at some point, you have to put all of the information away and go get the job done. Kick the ball to the plate. I don't care. There is a moment where it has to be his best vs. your best."
