Motivational Speaking

After 30 years in Professional Baseball, Coach Farrell has been on the inside of almost every draft for the past three decades. With his knowledge as a player, an insider when it comes to the draft process, and a coach/instructor, he's the guy every team and baseball organization will benefit from listening to.

 

His baseball career began in Indiana by playing in high school for the Logansport Berries for the late legendary coach Jim Turner and then continued on as he played for the Hall of Fame Coach of the Sycamores, Bob Warn, in college at Indiana State. From there, he enjoyed 7 years playing minor league baseball in the Milwaukee Brewer’s system as well as stints in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, and Taiwan. After which, he became the Area Scouting Supervisor for the Brewers. And then moved on in 2013 to be the Area Scouting Supervisor for the Kansas City Royals.

 

While in minor league baseball, in 1993, he also began coaching as his way to give back to the game and help kids from ages 8 and up to love the game like he does. Always looking for an opportunity to serve and help others, Mike loves the time he gets to spend with today’s youth.

 

Mike has always sought to use baseball as a tool to make better men, better sons, better fathers, and better human beings. His approach to teaching the game is to build the foundations on the field and on the mound that with continued nurturing can be adapted to life off the field.
